Mark Vogt, project engineer from WSP, will be presenting on the recent additions of bike lanes in Osborne Village. Mark will be taking us through an overview of a project's life cycle, as well as the role he fulfills in each phase as a transportation engineer. UMITE is hosting their first dedicated technical speaker of the year, Steven Florko! Steven is a transportation engineer currently working for Morr Transportation Consulting, and will be presenting on his career and projects he is currently working on. Steven graduated from the University of Manitoba's Civil Engineering program in 2013, and has been working in the industry for over 10 years.

Every year, UMITE sends a delegation to the ITE Canada conference in order to compete in the Traffic Bowl, a jeopardy-style trivia tournament where the winners get fame, prestige, and a chance to compete at the ITE International conference.
