Professional Events

The Senior Outreach Directorship strives to inspire students to pursue a degree at the Price Faculty of Engineering. This is done through Outreach Day events where high school students are brought to the University of Manitoba. There are typically a handful of outreach days planned each year that run for the full school day. The event features presentations from students, faculty and industry experts, a pizza lunch for students, a design challenge with prizes to be won, and tours of the facility. ASE Career Fair

The ASE Career Fair provides students with a great opportunity to learn about current career and employment opportunities in their field of study. Various representatives from many of the top engineering companies in Manitoba will be in attendance. NET at NIGHT

Net at Night is a one-evening event that connects professionals with students and enables them to interact in a relaxed environment. This allows for students who are rather uncomfortable with interacting with industries, to market themselves and gain connections for their future.

Beverage and Pizza Tasting

The Beverage and Pizza Tasting event, organized by the Professional Development Directorship, is a unique networking opportunity hosted at TransCanada Brewing Company on Kenaston Boulevard. With a wide selection of craft beers, wines, and gourmet pizzas, the venue offers an inviting and dynamic setting for students and professionals to connect.

Attendees will enjoy delicious food and drink in a casual, engaging atmosphere—perfect for sparking conversation and building personal connections outside of the classroom or office

Networking Dinner

The Networking Dinner, hosted by the Professional Development Directorship, brings engineering students and professionals together for an evening of meaningful conversation. Set in a formal dining environment, the event offers a relaxed yet focused space to share experiences, explore career paths, and build lasting professional connections over a shared meal
