Frosh Intern Program

Frosh Internships

Frosh Interns are first year engineering students who assist University of Manitoba Engineering Society (UMES) Council with their events, programs, and activities. Frosh Interns are expected to assist their assigned directorships in their endeavors, volunteer at various UMES events, and attend bi-weekly Council meetings. Those interested in becoming a Frosh Intern must complete and submit a Frosh Intern application by the deadline given. All applicants are carefully considered by the UMES Executive team who will proceed to fill the available Frosh Intern position(s) in each directorship.

Benefits of being a Frosh Intern:

  • Meeting new people in all phases and departments of the program
  • Developing soft skills such as communication, leadership, and team work
  • Great addition to your resume
  • Playing an active role in your education
