UMITE Sandbox Information Session (E2-221)

UMITE will be forming a Sandbox Design Team! Think of it as a less-intensive, transportation-focused version of a Civil Engineering Capstone project. 

Sandbox is a design competition hosted by ITE International, where students can develop a solution or set of solutions to transportation or planning-related problem statement. Using data, research, and best practices, teams will submit a writtem report. If selected, teams will present their work at the 2026 ITE International Conference. The bulk of the work will take place in the new year and the competition problem statement will be released in December.

UMITE encourages anyone passionate about transportation to join. You do not need to be in engineering, have technical experience, or be in your undergraduate degree to participate.
