5-Hour Innovation Pitch Competition

From Bioscience Association of Manitoba Youth Enrichment Network (YEN), The Entrepreneurial Mindset (TEM), Stu Clark Centre for Entrepreneurship (SCCE):

Join us for an interdisciplinary low-stakes pitch competition, focused on connecting students from different disciplines, namely science, engineering, business, and agriculture. The goal of this event is to connect students and recent graduates who have not met previously to work together and create a 90-second pitch on a new business idea focusing around solving problems. All for a chance to win a $300 grand prize!

Students will be placed into 3-person teams (subject to adjustment) that span disciplines. They will have 2.5 hours to develop an idea and prepare a 90-second pitch.

Ideas will need to be targeting one of three facets of the Bioscience Industry: Health, Agriculture, or Sustainability.

Students will receive training in the form of a pitch workshop the day before the event. Ben Isakov from the Stu Clark Centre for Entrepreneurship will walk students through how to craft a compelling 90-second pitch.
