University of Manitoba Engineering Society 

The APEGM Student Professional Dinner is held in mid-January. For $10, students get a chance to meet with industry, find professional contacts, and enjoy dinner. Dress code for the dinner is business professional. Each year, many representatives from the biggest engineering companies in Manitoba attend the dinner and enjoy a great time with the students.

Cocktails are available before the dinner and students will be able to meet and socialize with many of the professionals. Afterwards, students sit down with their peers and other professionals and enjoy dinner and wine. The evening is topped off with guest speakers from industry discussing topics on professional development.

Students who attend the dinner will be able to make good contacts in industry as well as look at possible employers for summer jobs. Businesses who attend the APEGM Student Professional Networking Dinner give enthusiastic engineering students a chance to learn about industry, get a chance to meet prospective employees, and earn professional development hours.
